updated March 8, 2005 The 2005 TLC is supported by a grant from NextGen Healthcare Information Systems.
Lectures this year will explain how to use the most current technology at
the point of care to improve care and reduce errors. Topics include
electronic prescribing, using a PDA, and Internet-based CME. This year,
we are also proud to introduce the Pediatric Documentation Challenge,
where you can see first-hand how electronic health records can work in your
office. After attending a lecture, visit the Demonstration Area to try out
our tablets computers and PDAs, visit dozens of professional web sites, and
be introduced to the newest software titles.
Demonstration Area open from 8:00am-6:00pm

Since 1993, the purpose of the TLC (formerly the
Computer Lab) has been to provide informal teaching and
hands-on experience to pediatricians and other healthcare providers
who want to learn more about the use of computers in Pediatrics.
TLC Faculty are members of SCOCIT who are prepared to answer
questions from the novice to the advanced computer user.
The links at left have been collected through the years and are
starting points for some of the more commonly asked questions about
finding pediatric information on the internet.
There are also links to some of the computer applications being used and
demonstrated at the TLC. If you have questions (and assuming you're viewing
this at the TLC) PLEASE nudge the TLC Faculty - that's what we're here
for.... Enjoy!
